Sosua Kids
The purpose of this association is to assist children of insufficient means to attend school. It is a non-profit association and is run on a strictly volunteer basis.
Children in the Dominican Republic are entitled to attend school at no cost. However they are required to purchase full uniforms; shirts, slacks/skirts, shoes and underwear, as well as school materials, notebooks, pencils, glue etc.
Our objective is to distribute the donations given by visitors and local residents in a manner beneficial to the children of the greater Sosua area.
Anyone that is here in Sosua and would like to contribute directly is welcome to stop by Checkpoint Pub and see Colleen or Mark, or the Britannia Pub and see Liam or Paul.
Both places are centrally located in downtown Sosua.
Volunteers in Sosua are residents willing to donate their time to see this program function. Non- resident volunteers are donating their energies and skills canvassing for funds.
